The Life:
- Party town, I guess it’s popular for euro students to take a vacation here?
- Malta is a small place and as a result, people from big countries especially tend to get a bit frustrated by the size of the island. However, most that move away after a year of living tend to want to come back…
- Tap water is drinkable, but it tastes disgusting so nobody does. You can purchase either bottled water or get big water jugs delivered. Delivery costs around the same/slightly, however you must buy a cooler from them for 200ish euros, or rent for 60-70 euros a year.
Cost of Living: CHEAP
- Renting an apartment is very cheap, I think you can find good living conditions for $400/mo per person.
Poker: Legal
- I believe a lot of poker sites have branches out here.
U.S. Visa/Entry Difficulty Level: Easy
- Malta is a party to the Schengen Agreement. As such, U.S. citizens may enter Malta for up to 90 days for tourist or business purposes without a visa. The passport should be valid for at least three months beyond the period of stay.

Nightlife: 9
- If you love drinking, this is the place to be. You can go out every day of the week.
- Pub culture isn’t big, they tend to get packed only on St. Paddy’s.
- Upscale options most certainly available:

- TemptAsian Restaurant and Lounge Bar

Recreation:
- Diving is a very popular activity. Malta is considered to be one of the BEST places for diving.
- Beaches tend to be rocky, so when you dive in, you immediately encounter 6mtr deep, crystal clear water and no sand bullshit.
