  • Vancouver is Western Canada’s largest metropolitan area. The city is famous for its magnificent natural beauty. It has been rated as one of the top cities to live and certainly a fantastic travel destination.
  • Vancouver includes such impressive architecture, fine dining as well as world class shopping.

The Life:

  • A young city, life in this place is not limited to outdoor activities but is extended to theater, concerts and a lot more cultural events.
  • The city is well-recognized for its remarkable programs in the following areas: environmental sustainability and accessibility.
  • Life in Vancouver is more relaxed than in Toronto and commercially, the city has less industrial feel than other cities in the country.

 

Cost of Living:

  • Accommodations may be expensive. Hotel rooms are normally priced at $200 to $250 per night. Hostels may be available but they are very few, rent is around $20 to $50.
  • A reasonable meal costs about $10 and under. A $70-budget will include four courses with superb service – such a treat!

 

Poker:

Language:

  • English and French are the languages most widely spoken in Vancouver. Since it is a multicultural city, other languages also exist – Chinese, Punjabi, German, Italian and French.

 

Food:

  • Whatever type of food, Vancouver has it. Cuisines come in a wide variety and at different price ranges.
  • Dim sum restaurants are available but US tourists must be aware that some dining places may only accept cash, no credit cards.

 

Recreation:

  • The place is one of the rare places to theoretically go mountain skiing, ocean windsurfing at the same time play golf in one day.
  • People in this place love the outdoors. A simple walk, jog or bike appears to be a fascinating activity.
  • Beaches, although not glamorous and lack waves, are still crowded with people during summer.

 

Safety:

  • This is a nice place to visit but US tourists need to keep watch of their belongings. Unfamiliar areas should be avoided especially at night. There are rare reports of violent crimes. There are certain areas in the city to be avoided. It is best to know of these places prior to visiting Vancouver.
